Pending Vehicle and Equipment Purchases
Escambia County adopted a Local Preference Initiative on September 16, 2013, to improve local business access to bidding on vehicles and equipment being sought for purchase by the county. The initiative took effect October 1, 2013. To remain in compliance with the initiative, the purchasing manager frequently posts information to this page regarding pending purchases of vehicles and equipment for county departments, including make, model, specifications and purchase price.
Posted purchases will be delayed for a period of 30 days to allow for submission of offers from valued local vendors interested in meeting or beating the posted purchase price. For details, click on the information below.
Small Business Enterprise Initiative
Escambia County adopted a Small Business Enterprise Ordinance in July 2014 to establish a Small Business Enterprise program with the purpose and intent of providing the maximum opportunity for increased participation of qualified small businesses in the county’s procurement processes.
